While the Oakland Museum is closed for renovations there are a couple of ways to visit online.
In celebration of Oakland’s 150th anniversary, the Oakland Museum of California presents over 7000 Oakland objects from its California Collections. These include historical photographs, paintings, documents, objects, all about Oakland, the city founded on the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay in 1852. Explore Oakland’s neighborhoods, walk the shoreline, stand atop city hall and look all around.
