Oakland art space drowning in City permit fees, asking for help ,

It’s been quite the year for Oakland art space NIMBY.  After a fire last fall forced the West Oakland industrial art facility to close, NIMBY managers regrouped, raised a bunch of money , and a few months later, secured themselves a shiny new space in East Oakland. It looked like the story had a happy ending, and everyone celebrated, just a little bit too soon.
